Over the last 6 years, we have been undertaking research funded by the National Lottery in conjunction with our partners Penrith remembers 1914-1918 on the 200 Men and one woman named on the Penrith Civic War Memorial who died during the Great War.
We are pleased to announce that our three-volume publication PENRITH CIVIC WAR MEMORIAL: The 201 People Commemorated is nearing completion. It is authored by Richard J Preston with contributions by Paul R Preston, Sue H Preston, & The Research Group of Penrith Remembers, and Edited by P R Preston. It will soon be published online as open access and hard copies will be lodged at the local libraries and museums. Watch This Space!
